After a sold out Northcote Social Club show earlier this year and a whirlwind Oz tour, Lamplight have returned to their home port to repair the sails, stock the hull with supplies and get set to sail to far off yonder shores to take over most parts of Europe and Iceland to return home in triumph!

The venue had to start turning people away at the door as it was full to capacity. More than 300 amazing punters came and had the greatest night of their lives!!!

Flippin’ Heck!!! What a CD Launch!!!

We are eternally thankful and indebted to all of you that came to the launch on Saturday night. It was a belter of a show and a superb night of music. Thank you all for coming!!!

We have a few things cooking at the moment to keep the Lamplight love-boat charging through the water.

Caroline Tran from JJJ played “Ship in a bottle” again on Tuesday night!!! We would love it if you were to drop her a line on her guestbook and tell her about how INCREDIBLE the launch was and encourage her to play the track some more!!!

We are finalising a distribution deal to get our CD’s in to stores all across the country!!! Until distribution is finalised, the album is available through me. Email me with interest and I will send you the album. We also have some digital distribution to release the album in about 6 weeks to coincide with our publicity campaign.

We also met with some publicists on Monday to arrange an official release of the album to all the media to generate reviews, articles, airplay, live-to-air appearances, interviews and everything else publicity-wise. Exciting stuff!

Tonight I’m sitting down with the directors of “Belladonna”, the film we were in about a month ago to mix our music into the film! That is awesome! http://www.belladonnathemovie.com/

We are ALSO-ALSO organising an Australian tour, European tour and another Melbourne show to be around late May/early June as our last show in Australia until we all return from Europe in August/September. So, we have got lots of stuff to do.

Lamplight are hitting the stage to launch their new album. It is the follow up to their 2005 release “The fish will walk…”, which saw them garner a strong following and had them play to audiences in pubs and festivals across Australia. It also sets the stage for them to travel to Europe and Iceland later in the year in support of the album. It’s going to be a cracker of a show.
